Team Member Spotlight: Shannon Cunningham, Success Specialist

Ever wonder who’s on the other end of the blue chat button? Meet Shannon! She’s the newest member of the BetterBookClub team and came to us in the Success Specialist role! Have a question on how to use certain tools in the app or need book suggestions? She’s your girl. Learn more about Shannon and how she became involved with BetterBookClub.

Q: What’s your background?

A: My background is in Education and Customer Service. I enjoy anything dealing with people and truly love having the opportunity to make a difference! One of my favorite quotes I live by is “be the reason someone smiles today”. Working with people is so rewarding to me, for that very reason; I love having the opportunity to make people smile & bringing a little brightness to their day!

Q: What’s the best part about working for BetterBookClub?

A: My favorite part about working for BetterBookClub is being helpful and providing clarity to anyone with questions about their own book clubs. For example, we tend to get questions like “I submitted a report, but it still says pending what’s going on” or “is there a way to review the book reports I have already submitted”. I love being able to problem–solve and get right back to people with resolutions! Something that I definitely love about our company is that you get a real person, with a real response, in real time–fast and friendly every single time.

Q: What are you reading right now?

A: Right now, I am reading Life Wisdom: Quotes from Zig Ziglar: Inspire To Be Great! I will specifically be a more positive person after reading this book. I loved that this book was filled with inspirational quotes, but what it taught me as a take–away was much more. I learned that finding true success is do-able, integrity matters, family matters, leadership is important from the inside out, hard work is worth it, knowledge should be a daily quest, and attitude fuels action.
