Live Large: The Achiever’s Guide to What’s Next opens doors for anyone who wants to all of whom they want to be – more powerful, more effective, more satisfied. Regardless of whether you are re-inventing your company, your career or yourself, this is book is where you want to start.

One of the most compelling sections is discovering our limiting beliefs – those ideas and behavior – frequently unconscious that hold us back.  Below is an excerpt from Chapter 9 of Live Large:

It’s not always easy to explore Limiting Beliefs that are keeping you from living large because it’s not always easy to find them. From secreted hiding spaces, they whisper directions or commands, telling us how to think, act, or feel, and without even realizing it, they lead to self-defeating behaviors. Beliefs and vows are sneaky, and in order to really suss them out, you have to find those hiding spaces.

Identifying where they might be hiding in your life is a central tenet in living a richer, more satisfying life. Limiting Beliefs may be tucked away in your family and cultural background, hiding in the list of characteristics you created, or buried in the turning points you identified in your Lifeline. Bringing these beliefs (and the corresponding behaviors) to light gives you a tremendous amount of power. You get to choose what works for you, rather than allowing the Limiting Beliefs to do the choosing for you.
